Another week is in the books. And another group of players find themselves in the hospital. Odell Beckham Jr headlines a list of players that didn’t make it out of Week 5 unscathed. A combination of these weekly injuries and another week of Byes, make playing the waiver wire a key to either righting the ship or maintaining your bearings for a championship.

Note: All waiver wire suggestions included in this article are owned in 40% or less of leagues. If you are looking for a guy who you think should be, but is not suggested below, it is probably because he does not meet this requirement - by all means, claim that man, or DM us and ask us if you should.

Our top QB streaming option for Week 6 is Jacoby Brisset. Brisset’s rushing ability and willingness to take it to the endzone himself (3 rushing TDs this year) provide a relatively safe floor. Brisset has been able to put up solid numbers against less-than-stellar defenses; enter Tennessee – which is near the bottom in all passing defense categories. He should be a solid play this week – high floor / high upside.
Palmer has been passing A TON (44+ attempts in 4/5 games) this season, which isn’t necessarily a good thing when you are old af, but it does help fantasy owners. Palmer will have the full allotment of his fragile WR corps as he takes on a very banged-up and beatable TB defense in Arizona. I like his floor the best of our streaming options.
Josh mccown / nyj - VS. ne
I don’t love it, but I really wanted to add a third. McCown is as professional a QB as you can find – but he doesn’t really have much upside. The upside here is he has NE (the worst defense in the league) at home.

Adrian peterson / ari
Adrian Peterson proved that old adage “if you give your head coach dirty looks, you’re getting shipped to Arizona” correct, in a “blockbuster” deal. Peterson isn’t someone I’d want to start this week, if he even finds the field. Or maybe even next week. But If you have room on your bench, take a shot – he should have every opportunity to own 1st and 2nd downs, and starting RBs on any team are a valuable commodity.
andre ellington / ari
But that leaves 3rd down, where Ellington’s athleticism shines. The addition of Peterson hurts, but not too much. Peterson is not a very good receiver and has trouble picking up blocks – Ellington should serve as a nice complement. In PPR leagues, his volume of receptions provides a safe floor and his athleticism provides a high ceiling. You may be able to steal Dre while everyone else is caught up in the hype of Peterson’s arrival.
Marlon mack / ind
After recovering from a multi-week shoulder injury, Mack burst onto the scene with a gaudy 10 yards-per-carry and a TD against the Niners. Another complement back, Mack should be able to continue seeing his touches – and it doesn’t take many for a good game – with a healthy Gore on the field. A classic Thunder and Lightning backfield.

Other RBs to target: Wayne Gallman / NYG ; Orleans Darkwa / NYG; Matt Breida / SF; Jerrick McKinnon / MIN ; Elijah McGuire / NYJ ; Alex Collins / BAL

wide receivers
john brown / ari
John Brown has trouble keeping that hammy healthy, but he still has home run ability and is a favorite endzone target of Palmer. In my humble opinion, aside from Larry, he is the WR to own in Arizona. While he didn’t put up the numbers (although he found the endzone), he out-snapped all other wide receivers on the team. Expect to see the stats improve as he continues to heal and work back into the offense
roger lewis / nyg
ODB – done; Marshall – done. Someone needs to catch the ball – why not this guy? A wide receiver group that will be nothing more than practice squad guys the rest of the year, put your trust in the one guy has actually seen the field (excluding the fully-owned Sterling Shepard).
Other WRs to Target: Mike Williams / LAC; Ricardo Lewis / CLE ; Zay Jones / BUF ; Nelson Agholor / PHI

Austin Seferian-Jenkins / NYJ
ASJ had a nice game against the Browns – 6 receptions on 8 targets for (only) 29 yards, but the all-important TD. It’s a down year at the position, and ASJ has high upside. He is athletic and a favorite target of his QB.
Other TEs to Target: Benjamin Watson / BAL; Evan Engram / NYG; George Kittle / SF
