2018 Top 10 Fantasy Tight Ends
TOP 10 FANTASY TIGHT ENDS
Tight End is going to be a crazy beast this season. Outside of the top 3 guys, it's a crap shoot. If you don't end up with an Ertz, Gronk, or Kelce, don't draft a TE just because you see a run of them come off the board. You are better off picking up some depth at RB or WR in those middle rounds and waiting to grab a value TE later in the draft.
These are our consensus ranks for everyone working for the Circus brand. We will eventually provide both the individual and consensus ranks as we get closer to the season. If you haven't already, check out our Top 10 Running Backs / Top 10 Wide Receivers / Top 10 Quarterbacks.

THE CIRCUS CONSENSUS TOP 10 TIGHT ENDS
1. ZACH ERTZ - PHI
Ertz has averaged 75 receptions on 109 targets for 831 yards and 4.6 touchdowns over the past 3 years. Last year, he scored 8 touchdowns - a doubling of his previous season high. Ertz has only missed 6 games over the course of his career, while Gronk has missed 5 or more games four of the eight seasons he has been in the league. With a full year of working with Wentz under his belt, we expect great strides from Ertz in 2018. Career highs in all categories would not be a surprise.
2. ROB GRONKOWSKI - NE
Gronk is the one of the best to ever play the position. He has missed 12 games over the past three seasons and a total of 27 over the course of his career - including at least one game every year since 2011. Gronk will miss time 2018, it is just a matter of how much. It is for this reason I am avoiding Gronk in the earlier rounds and taking Ertz or Kelce if a stud TE is on your radar.
3. TRAVIS KELCE - KC
The uncertainty of Patrick Mahomes replacing Alex Smith is what keeps Kelce at #3 instead of #2 or #1. Kelce has led the league in TE production each of the last two seasons, eclipsing the 1,000 yard reception mark in both campaigns. Despite the fact that Mahomes has a lot of toys to play with in KC, Kelce should still see over 100 targets in 2018. Here's to hoping Mahomes is good enough to keep Kelce on top of the leader boards.
4. GREG OLSEN - CAR
Olsen never missed a game until sitting for 9 in his injury plagued 2017 season that saw him finish was the #50 Tight End. If you don't count last year, Olsen has seen over 100 targets every year since 2012. The 33 year old should bounce back in 2018, but it will be interesting to see how much Christian McCaffrey eats into those targets.
5. JIMMY GRAHAM - GB
"Copy and paste Martellus Bennett to Green Bay hype here." Although Rodger's injury largely prevented us from seeing what might have been, and Jimmy Graham is hands down the most talented Packer TE that Rodgers has had in his career, it is interesting to note that Green Bay has had one top 10 TE finish since Rodgers took over in 2008 - Jermichael Finley in 2011. They have only had 4 top 15 TEs over that span and 4 seasons where their TE finished #36 or worse. Don't get all drooly over visions of Rodgers to Graham yet, the pairing just might not live up to their high expectations.
6. EVAN ENGRAM - NYG
Dude is going to see a significant cut in his targets in 2018 with Beckham, Sheppard, and Barkley on the roster. I wouldn't be surprised if he finishes outside of the top 15.
7. KYLE RUDOLPH - MIN
Like Ertz, Kyle Rudolph is a candidate to set some new career high marks in 2018. Cousins will likely look to the big TE in all quadrants of the field. Cousins reinvigorated Vernon Davis, made Niles Paul look like a stud, and allowed Jordan Reed to flourish. Speaking of Jordan Reed....
8. JORDAN REED - WAS
Reed has never played a full season in his career. He is, however, one of the best pass catching Tight Ends in the league. As we make our way to the deep end of the TE pool, pairing a high-upside, high-risk, Reed, with a guy you can snag later like Eric Ebron or Vance McDonald might not be a bad play.
9. TREY BURTON - CHI
The Bears lured Burton to Soldier Field with a big money deal. The upside is here, but be careful to not draft Burton at his ceiling value before we see how he meshes with young Mitch Trubisky.
10. DELANIE WALKER - TEN
Walker may not have the flash, but he has been a reliable TE over his career. He has at least 800 receiving yards over 100 targets each of his past 4 seasons. If you passed on Ertz, Gronk, or Kelce, Walker is a consistent option you can draft at leas 4 or 5 rounds later.
